First Year with my Vespa

First year with my Vespa was great. I bought it in late May, so I had only a few months for traveling and learning how to drive it. We're now waiting for the first snow so I can say my first Vespa session is at the end. I have to say that I really love it, the design, performance and handling - everything is perfect. Looking forward for the next session!

Autumn in Luzicke hory

I live on the border of Bohemian Switzerland National Park and Luzicke Mountains for a lot of years. Yesterday, I've found this beautiful place, only 5km from my home. It's great to live in such a region where you can find new places every day...

This is Maly Stozec, small rocky mountain in Luzicke Mountains.

Something is wrong with GTD

  1. GTD is for people, who don't need it. If you're a really busy person, you're not able to follow the rules of GTD. And if you don't have a problem to work with GTD after some time, you don't need GTD.

  2. GTD is a cult. It has its devotees who use it and devotees that are not able to use it, but it's still hot if they join the club.

  3. Inbox is a repository that enables you to do any stupidity that ever comes into your mind.

  4. Half of all the tags is only a way to procrastination, it allows you to think that you don't have to do this today and that you can actually postpone it.

  5. GTD is like an analogy photography of our time. It's fine and you like it, but the practical contribution is minimal.

  6. If you can do something in two minutes, it actually doesn't mean that it's good to do it. It is not important to do anything as far you are doing something, it's important to do things that make sense and do matter in your life.

  7. We have hundreds of GTD applications on the market and most of the users are still waiting for something better, for something that would finally be the right choice. But if there are so many developers who can't develop the right app for GTD, something is really wrong here.

  8. Without priorities, there is no direction. GTD helps you clean your head of the important things you don't want to do, but if fills it with unimportant things that you are wiling to do instead. Just keep doing something. Anything.

  9. It's old. In the year 2002 we worked on absolutely different bases, without messengers and social sites.

  10. How many really successful people use GTD? Successful people concentrate on what they are doing, not really on the system.

Busy times. What we’re working on?

Last few months are very busy for us in Czechgeeks, Pixerience and blue.point. We’ve never had so many projects as we’re working on right now in our whole history.

We strengthened our team with new people, we are now 36 people (all 3 companies together). All my companies are going to move to the new and much better offices very soon to support creativity and collaboration of our teams.

In Czechgeeks, we’ve prepared a simple CRM system for us. But after a few weeks, we’ve decided to make this app available for everyone, because it’s so simple and nice that we think that you’ll love it! We’ll launch Customeed - The most easiest CRM in the world - soon. Feel free to register for an invite now.

Also, we’re finishing quite a nice app for national parks all around the world with designers from Pixerience and also we’re working on a Moredays successor - Yournaline. All these projects are possible thanks to great developers in Czechgeeks and extraordinary designers from Pixerience.

We’re also working on a great project for designers in Pixerience. We’ll launch it in a few weeks. Especially if you like great icons, you gonna love it ;-). Unfortunatelly I cannot tell you more now...

In blue.point, my first company that is working with handicapped people, we’re working on a “Trip advisor for disabled travellers” - Disway. With a great support from Vodafone, it’ll be the best service for all handicapped travelers!

I’ll post more information about the projects in couple of days, so stay tuned!

[cz] 10 důvodů, proč je GTD ztráta času

  1. GTD je pro lidi, kteří jej nepotřebují. Pokud jste hodně aktivní člověk, nejste schopen dodržovat pravidla GTD. Pokud s časem na práci s GTD nemáte problém, nepotřebujete GTD.
